The basics
Is it really free?
Yes. There's no trial, no card details and no feature locked behind payment. If a paid tier is ever added, the features you already rely on won't be taken away without clear notice and a way to export your data first.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Pomary runs in your browser. On Android and iPhone you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu if you want it to feel like an app, but that's optional.
How long does setting it up take?
About five minutes if you already have your CV on your phone. You can add certificates and experience later — the dashboard shows you what's still missing.
Can I change my link after I pick it?
Your username is permanent, because changing it would break every QR code you've already printed or shared. Pick something you'll still be happy with in a few years.
Privacy and documents
Who can see my documents?
Only what you choose to make public. Each document has its own public or private switch. Private files never appear on your page and can't be reached by anyone else, even with a direct link.
Can I take my page offline?
Yes. One switch in your dashboard hides the whole profile. Visitors then get a 'not found' page. Turn it back on whenever you're job hunting again.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your profile, documents, uploaded files and login are removed immediately and permanently. Export your data as a JSON file first if you want a copy — the button is in the Account section.
Will my email address be spammed?
Your contact email is never printed on the page. It's revealed one request at a time, behind a rate limit, when a visitor taps 'Contact me' — so it can't be scraped in bulk by a bot.
Should I upload my ID or bank details?
No. Only upload documents you'd be comfortable handing directly to an employer — CVs, certificates, transcripts, references. Never bank details or a scan of a passport or national ID.
QR codes and printing
Does the QR code expire?
Never. It points at your profile URL, which doesn't change. A card you print today will still work years from now, and you can update what's behind it any time.
Can I print it on a business card?
Yes. The dashboard generates a print-ready PDF at the standard 85 × 55 mm with 3 mm bleed, in light or dark. Any print shop can work from that file directly.
Can I download just the QR code?
Yes — as a PNG for most uses, or an SVG if you need to scale it large without losing quality, like on a poster or a roll-up banner.
Getting hired
I have no work experience. Is this still useful?
Yes, and arguably more so. Internships, part-time jobs, volunteering, school projects and short courses all count as experience here. A page that shows what you've actually done beats a thin CV.
Does this replace my CV?
No — it carries it. Employers still want the document, and many still paste it into their own systems. Pomary makes sure the current version is always one scan away, alongside everything else.
